Basketball Recap: Early College Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Early College Sharks took a blow against the Young Women's College Prep Griffins, falling 61-22. The contest marked the Sharks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Early College and nudges their season record down to 1-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-3 Northstar Christian Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75.6% over those games). As for Young Women's College Prep, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Coming up, Early College will head out on the road to take on Edison Tech at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Young Women's College Prep, they will be playing at home against Northstar Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Young Women's College Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
