The Payette Pirates will square off against the Wood River Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Payette is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight games dating back to last season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 67-25 loss at the hands of The Ambrose School.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Wood River and Buhl meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Wolverines received a blow as they fell 59-45 to the Indians.

Payette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wood River, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
