Basketball Game Preview: Colleyville Heritage Panthers vs. Argyle Eagles

The Colleyville Heritage Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Argyle Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colleyville Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Colleyville Heritage strolled past Grapevine with points to spare, taking the game 50-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

It was another big night for Cash Gardner, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bodey Weaver, who posted ten points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Argyle earned a 50-40 victory over Grapevine on Friday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Mustangs are ranked 444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Argyle's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-15. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Colleyville Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Colleyville Heritage came up short against Argyle when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 45-39. Can Colleyville Heritage avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
