Basketball Recap: Altoona Comes Up Short

Altoona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 63-41 to the State College Little Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountain Lions of the 64-42 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Altoona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for State College, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Altoona will host Central Dauphin East at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for State College, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Harrisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. State College knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Harrisburg likes a good challenge.
