Foran is 8-1 against Lyman Hall since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lions will face off against the Trojans at 3:45 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Foran comes in on 12 and Lyman Hall on four.

Foran is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Seymour, who was ranked 14th at the time (Foran was ranked seventh). The Lions came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 6-2 on Thursday.

Abigail Corris made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emily Speringo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Maddie Deldin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Lyman Hall narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past East Haven 2-1.

Foran's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lyman Hall, their record is now 10-3.

Foran took their win against Lyman Hall when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 9-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
