Basketball Recap: Indiana Math & Science Academy North Knights vs. Indianapolis Washington Continentals

The Indiana Math & Science Academy North Knights were the 82-81 winner over the Indianapolis Washington Continentals when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Indiana Math & Science Academy North was outmatched by the Continentals at home and fell 65-30. Indiana Math & Science Academy North was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-12.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremiah Oliver, who scored nine points along with two steals. Jasaum Sowell was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.

Indiana Math & Science Academy North struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Indianapolis Washington racked up 14 assists.

Indianapolis Washington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dave Leye led the charge by scoring 17 points along with three steals. Indiana Math & Science Academy North will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pumas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Indianapolis Metropolitan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Monday. As for Indianapolis Washington, they will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Warren Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Continentals in Indiana (the Warriors are ranked 21st, while the Continentals are ranked 149th).
