Softball Recap: Jefferson West Find Success

Jefferson West was forced to take a big defeat against they on Thursday, they got the better of them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Silver Lake Eagles by a score of 7-3. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Eagles on Thursday, they had to take a 12-0 loss.

Harriet Dean spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ashley Moser, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Olivia Meyer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Jefferson West's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Silver Lake, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Coincidentally, Jefferson West and Silver Lake will both be playing Sabetha the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Bluejays at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th, while the Eagles will host them at 4:30 p.m. on May 8.
