Basketball Recap: Central Christian Cougars vs. Pretty Prairie Bulldogs
Central Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 53-33 to the Pretty Prairie Bulldogs. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.
Pretty Prairie got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Owen Anderson out in front who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave Anderson a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan W Young, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.
Central Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Pretty Prairie, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cougars take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cunningham will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Central Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pretty Prairie, they will square off against South Barber at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pretty Prairie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
