Softball Game Preview: Amboy Clippers vs. Indian Creek Timberwolves

The Amboy Clippers will take on the Indian Creek Timberwolves at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Amboy didn't have quite enough to beat Eastland and fell 4-3. The Clippers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Indian Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Earlville, falling 13-2.

Indian Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Peterson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Amboy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13-1.

Amboy skirted past Indian Creek 7-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Do the Clippers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Timberwolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
