East Moline United and Moline are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Maroons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. East Moline United is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Normal Community hit East Moline United with a four-run first inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 10-3 to the Ironmen. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

East Moline United saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Scott, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Moline came out on top against Galesburg on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Maroons beat the Silver Streaks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Maroons, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Moline's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-11. As for East Moline United, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10.

East Moline United came out on top in a nail-biter against Moline in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
