Baseball Game Preview: Harvest Prep Warriors vs. Miller Falcons

Harvest Prep is 0-4 against Miller since April of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Falcons at 5:15 p.m. Harvest Prep has given up an average of 15.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Harvest Prep is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against Grove City Christian, falling 23-0.

Meanwhile, Miller hadn't done well against Millersport recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Falcons came out on top against the Lakers by a score of 10-5. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their one-run performance the game before.

Bryce Dorsey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Dorsey was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Tyler Hartley was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That run was his first of the season. Nick Thompson was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Miller hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Miller now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Harvest Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Harvest Prep suffered a grim 17-0 defeat to Miller in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
