Recap: Bluegrass United Bluehawks vs. Bath County Wildcats
Even though the Bath County Wildcats scored an imposing 73 points on Monday, the Bluegrass United Bluehawks still came out on top. Bluegrass United took their game against Bath County 80-73. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bluegrass United.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bluegrass United to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sammy King, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which King has scored at least 25% of Bluegrass United's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Burnett, who scored 24 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Bluegrass United's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8. As for Bath County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluegrass United will challenge Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lafayette's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. As for Bath County, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Fairview is ranked 236th, while Bath County is ranked 248th).
