Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alvin). They put the hurt on the South Houston Trojans with a sharp 17-0 win on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Yellowjackets considering their two-run performance the game before.

Alvin pushed their record up to 12-8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for South Houston, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Alvin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-1 victory against Sam Rayburn on the 1st. As for South Houston, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-0 defeat against Manvel on the 1st.
