Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Guertin Cardinals vs. Concord Christian Kingsmen

The Bishop Guertin Cardinals will face off against the Concord Christian Kingsmen on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Bishop Guertin sitting on 13 straight victories and Concord Christian on six.

Bishop Guertin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Portsmouth as Bishop Guertin made off with a 45-20 win. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Concord Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Keene on Monday, taking the game 55-42. Given the Kingsmen's advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Blackbirds are ranked 42nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Concord Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Bishop Guertin, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.

Bishop Guertin skirted past Concord Christian 38-36 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Bishop Guertin repeat their success, or does Concord Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
