Basketball Recap: Gallia Academy Comes Up Short

Gallia Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-35 loss at the hands of the Ironton Fighting Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 72-40 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Gallia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Ironton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Gallia Academy and Point Pleasant will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ironton, they will square off against Spring Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Spring Valley will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Ironton surely won't give up without a fight.
