While Lakewood's victory against Belding wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Black Knights 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lakewood's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-13. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Belding, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakewood will face off against Olivet at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Belding, they will host Wyoming at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
