Watauga won the last time they faced South Caldwell and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 4-0 win. Watauga might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by four goals or more this season.

They hit South Caldwell with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emma Raymond (2), Morgan Flynt, and Quinn Haines.

Watauga is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight games. As for South Caldwell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7-1.

Watauga and South Caldwell will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Pioneers see the pitch they'll take on Alexander Central at 6:15 p.m. on the 29th. As for South Caldwell, their break will end when they face Freedom at 5:00 p.m. on the 29th.
