Football Recap: Lakeridge Comes Up Short

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Lakeridge was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They and the Central Catholic Rams were almost perfectly matched up, but the Pacers suffered a 14-13 loss. The Pacers lost against the Rams in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 40-17 score last time.

Even if they lost, Lakeridge's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jacen Wilber, Kilian Eddleman, and Noah Tishendorf, who each picked up one sack apiece. Wilber was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making five total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Lakeridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Central Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Lakeridge and Central Catholic will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Pacers will face off against rival Oregon City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Central Catholic is set to challenge their familiar foe Clackamas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
