Volleyball Game Preview: Schurr Spartans vs. Bellflower Buccaneers

The Schurr Spartans will take on the Bellflower Buccaneers in a tournament on Saturday. Schurr has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 18.

Schurr came up short against Mark Keppel on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Bellflower didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Santa Fe with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

While Bellflower won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10, 25-23.

Bellflower's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Schurr, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
