Basketball Recap: Hasbrouck Heights Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Mary, Hasbrouck Heights was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 61-48 victory over the Leonia Lions. The Aviators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Hasbrouck Heights' win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Leonia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hasbrouck Heights will square off against Wood-Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hasbrouck Heights is facing Wood-Ridge at the right time seeing as Wood-Ridge is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Leonia, they will take on Ridgefield Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ridgefield Memorial knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Leonia likes a good challenge.
