Basketball Game Preview: Lake Havasu Knights vs. Verrado Vipers

Lake Havasu is 1-9 against Verrado since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Lake Havasu Knights will host the Verrado Vipers at 7:00 p.m.

Lake Havasu is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-47 heartbreaker at the hands of Lee Williams.

Despite the defeat, Lake Havasu had strong showings from Brenan Moore, who posted 12 points, and Zacharee Bennetch, who earned 12 points. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Halo Jump, who put up six points.

Meanwhile, Verrado hadn't done well against Desert Edge recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Verrado blew past Desert Edge 65-39. The Vipers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Verrado has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.3 points. As for Lake Havasu, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
