Basketball Recap: Colton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Clarkston last Tuesday, Colton came back down to earth. The Colton Wildcats were beaten by the Oakesdale Nighthawks 70-23 on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-38 back in December of 2024.

Colton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Oakesdale, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Colton and Waitsburg will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Oakesdale, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. John-Endicott at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Oakesdale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
