Basketball Game Preview: Kealakehe Waveriders vs. Hilo Vikings

Kealakehe hasn't had much luck against Hilo recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Kealakehe Waveriders are taking a road trip to take on the Hilo Vikings at 7:00 p.m.

Kealakehe is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 70-17 defeat at the hands of Ka'u. One positive for the Waveriders, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Hilo had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 28-24 win over Kea'au on Wednesday.

Kealakehe's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hilo, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Kealakehe ended up a good deal behind Hilo in their previous meeting back in January, losing 38-23. Can Kealakehe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
