Two dominant guards in Jaelynn Housey and Nethania Noel-Jeune are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Nova Titans will take on the Coral Springs Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coral Springs took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Nova, who comes in off a win.
Nova is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 66-13 victory over South Broward. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 21 points or more this season.

Nova's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Housey, who dropped a triple-double with 12 points, 15 boards, and 12 assists, and Ke'Mora Evans, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 assists. Evans continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was J'Yan Tyrell, who posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Nova was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.
Meanwhile, Coral Springs was beaten by St. Thomas Aquinas 77-34 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Raiders are ranked 14th).
Nova will need to focus on slowing down Trinety Dajuste, one of several Coral Springs players who made an impact when they last played. She scored 11 points. Janelle Swaby was another key player, putting up four points and five boards.
Nova pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points over those games. As for Coral Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.
Everything came up roses for Nova against Coral Springs when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the team secured a 72-17 victory. Does Nova have another victory up their sleeve, or will Coral Springs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
