The Wooster Colts will take on the Fernley Vaqueros at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wooster is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Wooster came up short against South Tahoe and fell 7-4.

Malik Vaden was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Rowan Andersen, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Fernley's offense. They lost 8-0 to Elko on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Vaqueros' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Wooster has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11-1 record this season. As for Fernley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15-1.

Wooster was able to grind out a solid victory over Fernley when the teams last played back in March, winning 4-0. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Vaqueros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
