Recap: Barstow Knights vs. Heritage Christian Academy Chargers
The Barstow Knights were the 47-32 winner over the Heritage Christian Academy Chargers when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Barstow was dealt a 63-35 defeat at the hands of Heritage Christian Academy on Friday. Barstow has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Caelyn Ferguson, who scored 20 points along with four blocks and three steals for Heritage Christian Academy. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ferguson has scored at least 25% of Heritage Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Schenk, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Barstow now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Heritage Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barstow will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on University Academy Charter at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Heritage Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kansas City Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
