If Pearsall wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Devine, they should've done a better job of containing KARTER BROWN. The Warhorses / Arabians claimed a resounding 34-0 victory over the Mavericks for which the team can thank BROWN, who rushed for 24 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Devine's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise.

The win made it two in a row for Devine and bumps their season record up to 3-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 20 points in those games. As for Pearsall, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
