Softball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison managed to slip by Clinton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Redwolves on Tuesday, falling 8-2. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redwolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Kendall Gilbertson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Madison's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Clinton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Coming up, Madison will host Morenci at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for Clinton, they are taking a road trip to take on Bronson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
