Soccer Game Preview: Dunnellon vs. Crystal River

Dunnellon is 0-7 against Crystal River since January of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Tigers will face off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m.

Dunnellon barely beat Trenton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Dunnellon was the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over Trenton on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what Dunnellon needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Crystal River was forced to settle for a draw. They and Lecanto finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw on Wednesday. The outcome might've been different if Hayden Rose hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Crystal River hit Lecanto with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lawson Glantz, Rose, and Madden Verlato.

Crystal River's draw gives them a new season record of 4-12-1. As for Dunnellon, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 5-9-1.

Dunnellon came up short against Crystal River in their previous matchup back in December of 2025, falling 2-0. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
