Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rye Cove). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Castlewood Blue Devils on Friday, sneaking past 62-59. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Rye Cove's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Castlewood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Rye Cove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-32 defeat against Patrick Henry on the 18th. As for Castlewood, they will challenge Twin Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
