Softball Recap: Pulaski Red Raiders vs. De Pere Redbirds

Pulaski and De Pere squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pulaski had to settle for second. They fell just short of the De Pere Redbirds by a score of 4-3. Pulaski was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as De Pere apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played two weeks ago.

Morgan Vertz was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Vertz was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with a home run.

In other batting news, Addison Luebke made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.
