Softball Recap: Scripps Ranch Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Scripps Ranch had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Oceanside Pirates on Friday.

Sienna Cole was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Satterly, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Scripps Ranch pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Oceanside, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

As of now, neither Scripps Ranch nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
