Safford has gone 9-1 against Thatcher recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Thatcher took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Safford, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, it was close, but Safford sidestepped Pusch Ridge Christian Academy for a 3-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Thatcher challenged Empire on Wednesday. The Eagles lost 15-0 to the Ravens. The Eagles have struggled against the Ravens recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Thatcher's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Safford, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.

Everything went Safford's way against Thatcher when the teams last played on April 7th, as Safford made off with a 9-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
