Volleyball Recap: Lompoc Comes Up Short

Lompoc was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Pioneer Valley Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-5, 25-9.

Lompoc's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Pioneer Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-16 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lompoc will challenge Cabrillo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pioneer Valley, they will face off against Carpinteria at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
