Baseball Recap: Wes-Del Takes a Loss

The Wes-Del Warriors came up short against the Peru Tigers on Saturday, falling 16-6. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wes-Del saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Summers, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. The Warriors are 5-1 when Summers posts two or more runs, but 0-9 otherwise.

Wes-Del's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Peru, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Coming up, Wes-Del will take on Tri-Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Peru, they will face off against Manchester at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Squires have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
