Basketball Recap: Granville Comes Up Short

Granville was the 70-28 winner over Whetstone when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Granville Blue Aces fell just short of the Whetstone Braves by a score of 48-46 on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Aces came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Braves are ranked 715th).

Granville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Whetstone, their record now sits at 4-16.

Coming up, Granville is taking a road trip to square off against Watkins Memorial at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Whetstone will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Franklin Heights at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th.
