Preview: Jemison Panthers vs. Thorsby Rebels
After two games on the road, Jemison is heading back home. They will take on the Thorsby Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Jemison pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-60 to Chilton County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jemison in their matchups with Chilton County: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, Thorsby also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Central of Coosa County by a score of 53-46.
Jemison's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Thorsby, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
Jemison barely slipped by Thorsby in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 49-48. Does Jemison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Thorsby turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
