Baseball Recap: General McLane Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fort LeBoeuf on Thursday, General McLane came back down to earth. The Lancers took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saegertown Panthers on Friday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Lancers were not able to get on the board.

General McLane's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Saegertown, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. General McLane will challenge McDowell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lancers 1.7, the Trojans 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Saegertown, they will take on Rocky Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
