Hersey barely beat Conant the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Cougars on Wednesday. Given Hersey's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Conant are ranked 234th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hersey hit Conant with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gracie Lisota, Emily Barrett, Ellie Molster, and Kristen Getz.

The victory made it two in a row for Hersey and bumps their season record up to 5-6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two contests. As for Conant, they dropped their record down to 2-6-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
