Basketball Recap: Central Snags Tenth Win in Last 12 Games

Central had won two straight games and Chace North did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Central Lions walked away with a 69-56 win over the Northside Patriots thanks in part to North, who went 12 for 18 en route to 28 points and six rebounds. Those 28 points gave him a new career-high.

Khaven Cochran was another key player, going 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Central is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Northside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-24 victory against Harris County on the 14th. As for Northside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 90-56 loss against Jonesboro on the 13th.
