Softball Recap: Ocoee Takes a Loss

Ocoee lost to Mount Dora back in April of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights fell 7-4 to the Hurricanes.

Ocoee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Holden, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Holden is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Mia Espinoza was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Ocoee's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Mount Dora, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocoee will host Bishop Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Mount Dora, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
