Basketball Recap: South Panola Tigers vs. Olive Branch Conquistadors
The South Panola Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 14th straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 66-41 loss at the hands of Olive Branch. South Panola has not had much luck with the Conquistadors recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, South Panola still got an impressive performance from Tre'darious Hines, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Cameron Griffin was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 13 rebounds.
Even though they lost, South Panola smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. This was only their 15th loss (out of 17 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
South Panola dropped their record down to 2-19 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight at home. As for Olive Branch, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 24-5.
South Panola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Olive Branch also has no future games currently scheduled.
