Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Wasco). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Delano  a   21-0 shutout  on Thursday. Considering Wasco has won six matchups by more than six  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Cedes Saldana made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent  for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Aliya Leal and  Jazzy Juarez did most of the damage at the plate:  Leal  scored four  runs while going 4-for-4, while  Juarez  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple. Those  four  runs gave  Leal a new career-high.  Liliana Sanchez was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Wasco  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .611. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Wasco is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7-1 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Delano, their defeat was  their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 3-9-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wasco will head out to  challenge Taft  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 10.1  runs per game this season. As for Delano, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kennedy at 4:00  p.m.  on  the 22nd.
