Basketball Game Preview: St. John the Baptist Cougars vs. Holy Trinity Titans

The St. John the Baptist Cougars will kick their season off against the Holy Trinity Titans on Tuesday. Tip off is scheduled at 5:45 p.m.

Holy Trinity is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. 2025 welcomed they with a 44-24 loss courtesy of St. Dominic. The Titans were down 41-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

As for St. John the Baptist, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the right side of .500 (3-1), and they're hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year.

St. John the Baptist was able to grind out a solid win over Holy Trinity in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 40-33. Will St. John the Baptist repeat their success, or does Holy Trinity have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
