Preview: Grace Christian Academy Rams vs. Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers
After two games on the road, Grace Christian Academy is heading back home. They will take on The Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grace Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 196th, while Boyd-Buchanan is ranked 22nd).
Grace Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 35 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Silverdale Academy.
Grace Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Weston Edmondson, who threw for 321 yards and four touchdowns, and Steven Riffey who picked up 115 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Riffey was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 69 yards. Blake Perkey also helped out as he racked up 110 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Boyd-Buchanan put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Webb with a 14-10 victory.
Grace Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Boyd-Buchanan, their victory was their ninth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
Grace Christian Academy came up short against Boyd-Buchanan in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 28-20. Will Grace Christian Academy have more luck at home instead of on the road?
