Softball Recap: Berkley Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Berkley waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Ferndale Eagles with a sharp 17-1 win. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Alyse Muscat was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 games. Another player making a difference was Meryl O'Donnell, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Berkley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are undefeated (2-0) when they post two or more strikeouts.

The victory got Berkley back to even at 6-6-1. As for Ferndale, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Berkley beat the Eagles by a score of 11-1 later that day.
