Volleyball Recap: Kettle Moraine Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arrowhead, Kettle Moraine was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Nicolet Knights 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Lasers: when they faced off against the Knights back in August, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Kettle Moraine was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-15, 11-25, 25-22, 15-7.

Kettle Moraine found their leader in freshman Alyssa LaClair, who had 11 assists and six digs.

Kettle Moraine is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-18 record this season. As for Nicolet, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Kettle Moraine and Oak Creek will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nicolet, they will host Waukesha South at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
