Basketball Recap: Mid Valley Spartans vs. Riverside Vikings
Mid Valley lost against Riverside back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mid Valley Spartans took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverside Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Vikings are ranked 26th).
Mid Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demaja Dunston, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Cali, who earned ten points and three steals.
