Riverside had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Lewis County on Tuesday. Riverside was the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Lewis County. The win was familiar territory for Riverside, who have now won five games in a row.

James England made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Vaughan, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Colt Steward also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Riverside's record now sits at 16-8. As for Lewis County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Riverside will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lewis County: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
