Tift County had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Ware County Gators 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Blue Devils' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Tift County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-16, 15-11.

Coincidentally, Tift County and Ware County will both be playing Southeast Bulloch the next time they take the court. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Yellow Jackets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Gators will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
